THERMAL IMAGING SCAN AND REPORT SERVICE

Thermal Imaging IR -

Our thermal image technology is used to identify leaks from central heating & water pipes, which can greatly reduce digging up of floors and tiles. Thermal imaging shows exactly where insulation is thin or even non existent so you can target these areas and in turn reduce your fuel bills. The camera locates cracks within chimney liners as a requirement of insurance companies for chimney claims. It can also be used to detect water- saturated insulation in flat-roof systems to locate damaged portions of roofing structure. Thermal imaging can clearly show you where your heat is being lost. It also locates cold air leaks, water leaks and poorly insulated areas. It allows you to target these areas quickly, repair them, reduce your fuel bills and start saving you money.

What is Infrared/ Thermal Imaging Thermography?
Thermography is the use of an infrared (IR)imaging and measurement camera to see and measure thermal energy emitted from an object. Thermal or infrared energy is light that is not visible to us because its wavelength is too long to be detected by the human eye-it's the part of the electromagnetic spectrum that we perceive as heat. Unlike visible light, in the infrared spectrum everything with a temperature above absolute zero emits heat. Even very cold objects like ice cubes, emit infrared. The higher the object's temperature, the greater the IR radiation emitted. Infrared allows us to see what our eyes cannot. Infrared thermography cameras produce images of invisible infrared or heat radiation and allows us to identify where that heat is located with great accuracy and precision..

- BER vs' Thermal imaging

What is the difference between BER and Thermal Imaging?
BER gives 'U' and 'R' value's of various components within the internal and external of the property.
BER evaluates the external walls.
BER evaluates external windows.
BER evaluates external doors.
BER evaluates roof insulation.
BER evaluates knee walls in dormer houses.
All these values would be accurate if the components are correctly done and in place, which is not always the case.
The Thermal Imaging camera can quickly and efficiently identify the areas where these components have been incorrectly installed, defects in the manufacture of the i.e. window or in some cases where the components are non existent. It also produces an accurate detailed report which can be used to rectify all these situations.

What does this product include?
Our state-of-the-art infrared thermal imaging equipment enables us to capture crisp thermal images and then these images are downloaded into a specialised computer software and closely examined for problems areas. High quality photographs are printed along with suggestions and recommendations as to what actions need to be taken to correct any heat loss issues, leaks and cracked chimney.

What parts of my home need improvements for better heat retention ?
Most people would like to make their home more efficient, but they simply do not know what to do. Unfortunately, many people make the costly, incorrect assumption that in order to make their home more efficient, they have to make major, expensive changes like replacing their entire roof or changing all their windows. What many people fail to realize is that making a few small, relatively inexpensive changes or repairs can result in substantial energy conservation and immediate financial savings. Many heat loss issues are easily corrected - the problem is finding the location of the heat loss.

How Can We Help You?
Technological advances have made it possible to quickly and easily locate the source of heat loss and enable a home or business owner to concentrate on correcting these specific problems rather than potentially altering an entire building. That's where we can help! We utilize infrared / Thermal imaging technology to look at a home or building and see exactly where the problems are. By identifying the exact location and causes of heat loss, the time and expense of making changes or repairs can be minimized and in many cases result in significant financial savings immediately.

Buying A Home?
Protect yourself from making an extremely costly error and insist that the home you are considering purchasing has been properly evaluated for heat loss problems.

Clear images of heat loss:

Using this modern technology and the most up-to-date Thermal cameras which have 640 x 480 resolution, images are transferred onto a memory card, which in turn are loaded on to a PC. Images can be viewed, and a determination and pin pointing the cause and resulting damage, and / or heat loss. The information is then transferred on to a full documented report which gives a thermal image and digital image side by side for ease of locating and pin pointing the problem.

To accompany this technology the camera produces a full graphic and detailed report which can be given to Insurance Companies, Architects, Engineers or Contractors. The report identifies and locates problems enabling repairs to be done right the first time and is also extremely effective when communicating findings to a customer, insurance company or the person who will be performing the repairs.
